What a read! Whether you are a big kid like me or a little kid you will enjoy this book and all the adventure as the story unfolds. Mysterious, magical and captivating. I was gripped. It kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know for sure whether Joe would make it back home or not. Brilliantly written, with fun and imaginative characters. Great moral lessons we can all learn from. Would recommend this book for anyone's reading list. Loved it!

This is an exciting and intriguing adventure story, sensitively written, as Joe and his new friend encounter various challenges. In doing so, they help each other and actually realise how they may have unintentionally hurt their other friends. As they begin to understand this, they resolve to put things right when they return to their different situations.
Anyone with any responsibility for children will appreciate the wonder of bringing them to a realisation of how others feel and to care about the consequences. This author does this effectively and unobtrusively, as events unfold. A great, fascinating read with a positive message.

Amanda Humphries has lived in rural Shropshire all her life. Married, with two grown-up children and a grandson, she worked for many years in a primary school as a H.L.T.A, teaching reception. It was her love of reading stories to her class that has inspired her to write her own books.
