After reading this book, I now feel much more enlightened as to both the benefits and the possible consequences of the sometimes murky side of social media. Being both a Mother and Grandmother it really helps understanding what young teens of today can be up against. I have seen for myself the evidence of what Dr Adam describes in length, mental health issues social media can show in their behaviour and self esteem. Thus, pressuring victims onto a self destructive path, that is not only hard to change direction but the necessity to offer beneficial alternatives to being locked into social media on a constant daily basis. This subject has been thoroughly researched and covers all aspects of adolescent behaviour. I therefore strongly recommend this book for parents, grandparents, teachers and carers of young people as a must read!
