This was never intended to be a book at all; but became a rather untidy drawer full of scrambled thoughts, observations and reflections on life, that had accumulated over several months and years.

Full synopsis

I Can't Stand Thinking started life as a rather untidy drawer full of scrambled thoughts, observations and reflections on life. Eventually, the drawer would not close, and as an alternative receptacle this anthology was born. Perhaps driven also, by a timely coincidence with Covid 19, in the search for answers as to what life is all about and a desire to seek some positive aspects of living through such an all-encompassing pandemic. At a time of isolation and reflection, it is perhaps when we find ourselves engaging more closely with our surrounding natural world and Mother Nature and valuing our own lives all the more.

This collation of personal thoughts, poems and light-hearted observations, will hopefully enrich and inspire readers and provide some humour along the way. We are also at a moment in history, when we can begin to explore the outer limits of our Universe, with the aid of the exciting and recent deployment of the James Webb Space Telescope. Maybe we will finally gain some answers as to who we really are and why we are here.

This anthology was brought together with some artistic and imaginative interpretations by J. Williams.
