Author news

Following my appearance on ENO TV on 12 October - a transcript and a video of the event is now on my website blog (www.historyinopera.co.uk). The book was reviewed in Opera Magazine in December 2022 - the review is by George Hall, formerly Editor-in-Chief of BBC Proms and, before that, Editor-in-Chief at Decca Records. A review of the book by John-Pierre Joyce was also published in the January 2023 issue of 'Opera Now'. A new article on Wagner, "Wagner's Favourite Hero: the Emperor Frederick II" was published in the March 2023 edition of Wagner News, the journal of the Wagner Society.
