I grew up in Edinburgh and kept a diary through the late 90s and early 00s. The Diary of a Teenage Dirtbag has extracts from when I was 13, childlike, bullied and awkward through to the night before I went to medical school, over-confident, hedonistic and every bit the nightmare teenager that I hope my daughters won't be. I moved to Devon from Edinburgh in 2003 and told myself I was going to get my act together. Fast forward 20 years and that is exactly what happened. I work as a GP in Exeter and live with my husband and two daughters. Until I started re-reading my diaries, I had genuinely convinced myself I was a kind and respectable person. Oh how I had forgotten. Follow my instagram account @claireleday85 for extracts. Email: [email protected]
