This is a charming short story which will appeal to families who love all things British as it is set in London's Hyde Park at the Princess Diana playground. Moreover it is a book that parents won't be bored reading to children and Philip Bannister's illustrations are a refreshing change to some of the 'same old, same old' story book pictures these days. Corin and Carly are totally believable, wondrous and cute in this fantasy sketch. Please do a sequel Gillian!

The Pirate Ship by Gillian Cook is a beautifully written children's book. My boys and I absolutely enjoyed this fun, well-written book. We felt as if we were taking part in this imaginative story. Loved it!!!
