Life at the pond can get pretty boring—even if you’re living in the heart of New York. So when Frijibold the Frog hears about the exclusive apartments in trendy Shark Fin Towers, he jumps at the chance to fulfil his secret lifelong dream: living in a skyscraper among those fascinating creatures called humans.
Faiz's book The Frog who Loved Mathematics is a finalist in the The Wishing Shelf Independent Book Awards. The book has also been translated into French, German and Russian.

Totally delightful storytelling, for both children and adults! I very much enjoyed this wisely cautionary tale of a frog who discovers what's at home may be just as important as the glory of the skyscrapers. Cute illustrations and a gently encouraging tone will entice readers of all ages.

This is a great chapter book for young readers. A nice transition book from picture books to more involved chapter books. This little frog is longing for the things he doesn't have, but when he gets them, he realizes the life that he had earlier may not be so bad after all. The story was fun, though I wish there had been a few more pictures to show the frog's adventures. The artwork is bright and you can't help finding that frog cute! Thanks, Net Galley for the ARC!

Full Text: This is a cute little story about Frijibold the Frog. Instead of the ordinary life at the pond with his extended family, he longs to do something more grand, and hatches a plan to land in a new apartment building. Fate seems to smile on him… for a time. But he soon learns that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the road.
This is a very good book for newly independent readers, or even as a read-aloud for younger children. The fairly short chapters make it easy to navigate; the language is straight forward and simple to follow. The occasional pictures are bright and fun. Kids will probably especially enjoy the menu for Mrs. Boggel’s Pond Paradise Café and its description of all the frog delicacies offered there.

This is a nice variation of the "country boy goes to the big city" theme. I'd like to have a glow-in-the-dark motorized lily pad to ride around on....

This book is a fun romp through a frog's dream of living in a skyscraper and being a star. He finds out that what you want and dream of isn't always as it seems.

My kids enjoyed this book a lot! I find my twins re-reading this one quite often. I enjoy books that can be read by both children and adults, and this is a good one. Sometimes children's book tend to be more repetitive, but this cute story is engaging and enjoyable.

Faiz loves to write funny children's books. Over the years he has been lucky enough to share childrens' enjoyment in his books when working with schools on literacy and reading projects. He has also received some great reviews, awards and media coverage. His books have been translated into French, Spanish, German and Russian.
Everything in daily life provides some inspiration for the wacky characters in Faiz’s books - even his serious day job. In fact, some of the craziest and funniest ideas have popped into his head while he has been working on something completely unrelated to children's books!
Faiz enjoys writing about what he thinks his young family and their friends would like and find funny. He hopes that his books help bring the joy of reading to life for children and their families.
