Nick Radchen (not his real name) works in the UK as the management accountant within a £100m+ turnover organisation, and crunches reams of numbers on a daily basis. Unlike so many of his counterpart authors he is not a lifetime roulette player, and didn't make his first visit to a casino until after his 46th birthday - which was for the purpose of trying out his newly learned card-counting skills at the Blackjack tables. This was something he took up as a mental challenge after seeing the movie “21†(in 2008), and over the next five years he enjoyed a modicum of success applying the hi-lo count whilst playing Blackjack for low stakes in various UK casinos.
Nowadays he still occasionally plays Blackjack (usually only applying basic strategy as card-counting opportunities have become few and far between) as well as some Roulette - where he adopts a low risk approach to chancing an affordable amount from his continually ravaged disposable income.
He lives in Cambridgeshire and is married with two grown up daughters.
