I found this book to be very educational and not lacking in information. The author explains everything in medical details, which is fine being a nurse, however it does make me wonder if a layperson would understand or even care about the medical processes.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I got a lot of useful information from it that I do intend to put to use.

This has a common sense approach to health and weight loss. It's easy to follow. I believe it has a lot of information that many people could stick to and not give up on so easily. You can read it however you want to read it, skipping chapters and going back to them at a more relevant time. Start slow and work your way up.
