On a dark, rainy night in the East End of London a young girl, Katie Carson, witnesses her mother jump from a bedroom window trying to escape the demons in her mind, and Katie’s life is changed forever.
For me a book has to grab you from the beginning and this one does. I love that the author has written it so that you end up feeling like you have known Katie all your life.
I couldn't put it down. It's a definite must read.

Hooked from the beginning. A really good gritty story. Could not put it down. The characters were very believable and felt like you knew them.
Massive well done to the Author and hope she thinks of a sequel. Very well written.
Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. Not just a straight forward romance, but complex family histories in there too. Couldn't put it down.

I always know I have read a good book when I miss the characters after I finish. This happened with The Essence of Love. The story gripped me right from the first chapter and kept me drawn in right up to the end. Beautifully written and full of depth, this is so much more than a love story. Fully recommend!

'The Essence Of Love' is such a wonderfully written and page- turning book.I was drawn in right from the first few pages. The characters are so relatable and with a mix of mainly romance and a touch of suspense and intrigue, it keeps you hooked from the beginning to the end. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and cannot wait for a sequel. It's the kind of book you want to keep in your bookcase, so you can read it again and again.

When is the sequel..?
This book took me on a journey which had me glued to the pages. As someone who isn’t ‘big’ on finishing books, The Essence of Love kept my attention throughout. The storyline touched me on so many levels and with the reality of the subjects covered, I can see good potential for a movie.
This book doesn’t hold back or hide away from the ‘big stuff’. It’s easy to get lost in the pages and feel as though you are right there in the room with the characters.
I loved it & cant wait until the sequel. Highly recommended.

I was lucky enough to receive this book as a gift from the author who has recently become a neighbour. I took it on holiday at Christmas and enjoyed every word! It's a romance with so many unexpected twists and turns that it was difficult to put down. The characters are believable and really draw you in to the story, and although you want to know what the final outcome is, you don't want it to end! Just what a good story should be.

I loved reading this. The characters all feel very real and I was immediately drawn into their stories. I couldn't wait to get to the end to see how things panned out. I hope there's a 2nd book !!!!
