Brent Shore grew up in Hyde, a small town on the eastern edges of Manchester. He studied Modern Languages at the University of Nottingham, where he also trained as a teacher. His career took him firstly to North Yorkshire, then to Bermuda, and finally to the middle of Dorset where he has lived since 1991.
Since retiring from the classroom, he now channels much of his energy into writing fiction. "Shillingstone Station" and "Bailing Out" were his first two novels to be published, followed in 2018 by "An English Impressionist".
