Good poetry must convey how the poet sees the world, often in a scratched glass way. Mindful of Mood is written by a bipolar poet whose poetry reflects the full spectrum of his moods. His writing is minimalist and verging on terse. Full use is made of rhyming and free verse. Like Thomas Hardy he believes that poetry should be written when charged with emotion. Perhaps free verse is his main canvas and with deft strokes and subtle colours he paints as he sees the world and life.
