The book is a collection of stories of life in St Vincent and the Grenadines. Each story features a different character. The characters are ambitious, deluded and hardworking but never pathetic. Like people from small communities everywhere, they are in search of a larger stage. Readers will find stories that are humorous and serious, with a Caribbean vitality.
I was born in St Vincent and the Grenadines in 1957 and came to England in 1970 to join my parents. I have been a lecturer for 27 years and was, for 10 years, Head of Maths at a Further Education college in West London. A passionate cricket lover and former half-marathon runner, I also enjoy solving crosswords. I have two daughters, 26 and 10!
