Bees Make Honey and Butterflies Make Jam by John Offord is an amusing collection of tongue-in-cheek tales. Several of the stories turn fairy-tale tropes on their heads. One of these is the story of The Princess and the Frog. Offord’s version even makes a play on 'Anna and the King of Siam’. I laughed out loud at most of the stories, and even spit my tea at some of the cheeky absurdities. But I loved the way the author created these 'spoof' style renditions. They were original, and well thought out.
