Down, Dirty and Divine

A Spiritual Ride through London’s Underground

Down, Dirty and Divine is an invitation to readers to go on a meaningful and transformational journey through the underground of London, and to assist in healing the City whilst also cleansing their own soul and the soul of the planet.

Murder and madness, death and disease, crime and corruption, pain and punishment, ghouls and ghosts – this is London’s morbid history. But it is humanity’s history too. Rev. Stephanie Clarke answers the question: how can we heal? Selecting 12 London Underground Tube Stations as the physical and spiritual entry points into the City’s underbelly, she offers readers some historical information, some personal reflection and an affirmative prayer to heal the particular trauma associated with the site of each Tube Station.

In a dream-state, the author was told that the 2012 Olympic Games would stimulate an unprecedented convergence of the masses upon the City of London and would be a powerful catalyst to usher in global transformation. Serendipitously, many of London’s great citizens, including Sir Christopher Wren, the architect of St. Paul’s Cathedral, have long held the vision of London as the New Jerusalem, a celestial city of light and a universal centre of peace and reconciliation.

Down, Dirty and Divine is a spiritual tour guide, inviting readers to be active instruments in the fulfillment of this grand planetary vision in 2012 and beyond.

Rev. Steph will be facilitating a workshop called "Down, Dirty and Divine - the New Jerusalem and the London Underground" at the Centers for Spiritual Living Annual Convention in Vancouver, Canada, on Feb 21, 2013.
Her second book and autobiography, "The Miss-Adventures of an Irreverent Reverend: a metaphphysical ride through the Bible", is due to be released on Jan. 31, 2013

Rev. Stephanie Clarke

Rev. Stephanie Clarke was born and raised in London, graduated from Bradford University with a degree in German and Russian then lived in various countries overseas for most of her adult life. While visiting South Africa in 1985, she discovered the Johannesburg United Church of Religious Science and the Science of Mind teaching and decided to emigrate! There she had a vision of starting a multi-racial spiritual community as a forerunner to the healing of Apartheid. This vision led her to the USA in 1989 where she completed her New Thought Ministerial Training under the auspices of Dr. Rev. Michael Beckwith (of “The Secret” fame) at the Agape International Center of Truth in Los Angeles. Returning to Johannesburg in January 2000, she successfully founded a vibrant, multi-racial, metaphysical community known as Soul Home. Her greatest passion was teaching her students how to pray, the affirmative way, and leading groups to Egypt on spiritual tours. Passing the baton to her qualified practitioner students in 2005, she returned “home” to the UK where her new CELTA qualification afforded her the opportunity to teach English in Europe and Japan. Currently she lives in Canterbury and promotes English communication programmes in European schools.

“Down, Dirty and Divine: a spiritual ride through London’s underground” is Rev. Steph’s first book and was written based upon instructions she received in a dream on September 25, 2011.
