What effect did the Crucifixion have on the Roman Army? What effect did the Roman Army have on the Resurrection? Are these the most important questions of all time?
Through the power of a compelling fictional narrative, back to 33 AD when men and women were inspired to take up the cross and change the world, the reader is taken on a journey of discovery to an alternative account of events in Roman Judea. It is the characters we meet in the Roman Army who will be their unknown inspiration, and stray from their own usual paths. Everything we feel and touch within this world is fictional … or is it?
Is there an ultimate truth? And are you ready to face it?
This is a well written and easy to read book. There are three themes running through the novel; action, investigation and retrospection. These themes interweave throughout and the characters viewpoints are explored. The novel is set in the 1st century Roman period and set in Europe and the Middle East with the events at the time. The storyline comes about because of the great change within the Roman empire, influences on people, wider news being spread and what is to come. Although there is military theme the interest of this novel is beyond that and makes the reader consider different viewpoints. This review is written in a way not to give away the essence of the story as that is what makes this book worth reading. Recommended
