Pamela has shown an amazing strength of charachter through years of pain, anguish, discomfort, depression and grief alongside an unsupportive stepmother to shine through and show people that evn is obesity can be self inflicted there is still a way of sharing your pain and embarrassment through laughter, family and friendship. We all only have one life to live and we must live it the best way we can, despite our faults and foibles. I hope by writing htis book Pamela finds a new reassurance and confidence that when you put your mind to something you can achieve ANYTHING! Brilliant and funny lookng forward to the next one - must retire somewhere soon!

Just finished reading this book, how the author coped with being slightly overweight and I found it so hilarious and in some parts funny. Its a psychological and physical journey, different from the norm and off the wall and very wacky. I loved this book and will read it again. Its a from the heart book, told with compassion, feeling, humor, laughter, warts and all. It takes a brave person to write a book like this and come out the other side. BRILLIANT - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I have the pleasure of knowing Pamela, through our work in the NHS, and this book reads just as if I was sat in a café with her (and we did, many times) having a yarn together. The overriding aspect for me is that despite (or perhaps because of) all the poo that she has had to face throughout her life, Pamela is and always was, an inspiration to others. GO GIRLIE! Can't wait for Book 2.

This book was such an honest, heartwarming, sad, informative, happy, mixture that was blended together so beautifully by Pamela - I loved it - thank you.

I worked in mental health for 26 years; prior to that I served in the WRAF. My husband, the very centre of my universe, died when I was forty. I threw myself into my work, which I loved, but had the opportunity to retire when I was 53...I took it and moved to Crete to 'do life differently'!
