The Red Chairs Mystery

Two red leather armchairs are discovered on a prestigious Sussex golf course, a body slumped in one of them. Detective Holly Angel, sent to investigate, must uncover who this person is, how she died, how the body got there, and what could possibly be the significance of those red chairs?

The club’s high-flying owner, Jamie Royle, comes under suspicion but proves elusive, away in Chicago where he is ring-side at the famous golfing ‘Miracle at Medinah’, the European Team’s astonishing 2012 Ryder Cup victory over the Americans. Neither, at first, are there many other clues... Until the perpetrator breaks cover again!

As the tale of a wicked past crime, of fierce family loyalties and revenge unfolds, Holly’s earlier life and career in the Sussex Police also emerge. Entering the unfamiliar world of private members’ golf clubs, she meets however, with handsome estate agent, Mark Berger in the line of duty. Cautious after an unsatisfactory first marriage, she is fiercely reluctant to acknowledge the attraction between them. Will she succumb to his charms?

The first of the 'Holly Angel Investigates' series - The Red Chairs Mystery - will be published on 28th February 2019.

'Just finished your novel and thoroughly enjoyed the style pace of the prose .The denouement was perfect. So many books don't have a proper ending .Looking forward to an adaptation of your present and future novels for TV series.

Not in a genre I normally choose, I found it increasingly absorbing as evidenced by my reading larger chunks each time I picked it up. A good story!
