This is a great read. A story within a story, what starts off as fun relief from a mid-life right of passage, quickly deepens as intrigue mounts. After the first chapter, I was completely hooked and couldn't put it down.
The characters, both comic and dark, then develop, feel real and shine brightly out of the page. It becomes frequently hilarious, sometimes disturbing, yet often inspiring. It would make great TV or a Film. Highly recommended.
This is a stunningly good read. It's beautifully written and the characters quickly became so real as I read on...I had a blast reading it and found I could easily relate to Amy's situation. Julia Myerscough's 51 Weeks is most highly recommended.

SASSY AND SAUCY - A MUST READ!!
I started reading '51 weeks' - on Thursday evening. I have this evening at 5.30pm finished reading it. What a book! If you're into Fifty Shades of Grey I definitely recommend reading this sassy and saucy book. Julia what a fantastic debut novel......couldn't imagine you writing anything saucy, but it is one of the best books I have ever read and had given me ideas on how to keep my marriage and life alive :
A brilliant pieced together book with a wide audience range.
Witty, intelligent and incredibly well put together. A rollercoaster ride of a book, alternating between humour and bittersweet. This is a fantastic read for people of all ages, giving not just food for thought, but time for reflection. What would your challenge be? Thoroughly recommend!

A cross between Bridget Jones and Adrian Mole - Brilliant!
51 Weeks is an amazing bucket list journey and an incredible story which kept me hooked. It’s a cross between Bridget Jones and the Secret Diary of Adrian Mole! It’s one of those books which you struggle to put down as you want to know what the next challenge is going to be.
I usually struggle to get into books but I found this easy reading, very entertaining and the storyline is well thought out. The ending is brilliant as it starts the story for the second book. Even though it’s fictional, it’s very easy to relate to as the story is about real life situations people experience in their lives.
