Guess What I Found in the Playground!

by

It’s finally the end of the school day and Tilly can’t wait to see her dad. She has a secret, a wonderful, fantastic secret about something she found in the school playground.

But she doesn’t just want to tell her dad. She wants to make him guess…but he never will!

A charming picture book with highly original “pop art” style illustrations, Guess What I Found in the Playground will be liked by all children aged 5 – 7 and their parents who have daily experience with this question!

Lovely book - it’s bright, colourful and playful.
Great images that illustrate a cute and fun story.
A fab addition to my daughter’s books.

Tilly is being encouraged to explore, to see possibilities while playing a game with Dad. There's a bit of verbal jousting and it's between equals. Dad takes what Tilly has to say seriously and doesn't patronise her at all. Brilliant!
This is a lovely, quirky book about imagination. It's a real pleasure to read and there are no tedious lessons being taught to the child.
The story is a joy to read, but a lot of thought has gone into the making of it. I liked the clear font in the book too - it will be great as a book to share and as a book for the emerging reader.

Victoria Thompson is a mother of three who works full-time as an Urban Designer for local government. She has drawn on this and her previous 14 years' experience as a Design and Technology secondary school teacher to create her debut children's picture book.

Victoria describes children as creative, future thinkers. She loves their laughter, passion, loyalty and finds that they are the most trustworthy critics on the planet.

Her belief of , 'anything is possible, if you put your mind to it', inspired her desire to write a short story, after being diagnosed with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia in 2018, while studying her master's degree.

Inspired by her own children, her debut children's book demonstrates Victoria's fun, enthusiastic nature perfectly, through the bright, bold illustrations accompanying a quirky story.

So excited to get my debut book out!
