Enthusiastic about disruptive innovation for social and environmental good, Ric is the co-founder of an "internet of things" company working on new ideas to make products and places more interactive with people and the environment. He holds master's degrees from Cambridge University and IMD in Switzerland.
To deepen his knowledge and research on topics covered in his book, Ric also studied renewable energy with the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) and urbanism at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). His appreciation of the richness of urban life and its potential is borne from living in cities as diverse and energising as London, NYC, Budapest and Manila.
He currently lives in Windsor, England, and tweets about breaking down walls as @RicRewrites.
"Civic Revolution is about the clash between our culture and wellbeing, and how this dissonance might be resolved. Ric answers a fundamental question for our time: how is it possible to mend the broken link between prosperity and a sustainable future?"
Sir Tim Smit, co-founder Eden Project
"A call to arms to people who want to make life better in their local community but also understand the need for more fundamental system change."
