Nigel Rowland Hicks
After serving his apprenticeship at what was the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough, Nigel Rowland Hicks worked man and boy for the Ministry of Defence in a number of aeronautical engineering jobs.
He was brought up in Fleet, Hampshire and, after marrying lived in Aldershot, Bordon, Aldershot again, Stubbington and Hillhead on the south coast, Farnham and the beautiful hamstone village of Chiselborough in Somerset. He now resides in Highcliffe, Dorset, having bought a ÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¢ÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¢ÃÆÃ¢Ã¢ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦ÃÂ¡ÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¬ÃÆÃââââ¬ÃÂ¹ÃÆÃ¢â¬Â¦Ã¢ââ¬Ã

As well as writing, DIY and travelling in the motorhome, he plays both squash and racquetball, likes swimming, relaxing in the sauna, going to the theatre and rambling. (Some people say he rambles too much!)

Sometimes when heÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¢ÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¢ÃÆÃ¢Ã¢ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦ÃÂ¡ÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¬ÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¢ÃÆÃ¢Ã¢ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦ÃÂ¾ÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡Ãââs been disappointed with a certain book, heÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¢ÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¢ÃÆÃ¢Ã¢ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦ÃÂ¡ÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¬ÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¢ÃÆÃ¢Ã¢ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦ÃÂ¾ÃÆÃ¢â¬Å¡Ãââs thought he could have written a better one himself, but never found the time to do anything about it. Whilst a senior manager at Yeovilton, he often thought that embellishing annual staff reports and bonus reviews to be excellent practice for writing fiction!
