Submitting Books for Review
Submissions
Books from any self published author
or self publishing company published in the UK with a UK
ISBN number will be considered for review. Books published
more than three months prior to the current date will not
be considered. If a review is published in the magazine,
the self publishing author or self publishing company that
supplied the book for review will agree to sell that book
at a discount of 30% to readers placing an order through
The Self Publishing Magazine (please contact us for full details
of supplying books).
Reviewers will be asked to review
a book within three weeks of receipt, writing a review
of between 100 and 200 words, and to rate a book on a
scale of 1 – 10. Reviewers
will be asked to comment on both content and presentation.
(Note that we do not accept reviews on any books sent directly
to us as we cannot guarantee that the review is independent
of the author or publisher.)
No one company or author will be given preference in terms
of positions of reviews in the magazine, grading of books
by reviewers, etc. The aim is to provide fair reviews of
books from all publishers to enable readers and bookshops
to make informed choices on books to buy. The magazine
cannot guarantee that all books supplied for review will
be reviewed in the magazine, nor that the appearance of
a review will boost subsequent sales of that book.
Reviews may be edited to fit the
space available in the magazine, but for no other reason,
even if a review is not positive. Reviews will not be
made available to the author or publisher prior to publication
of The Self Publishing Magazine.
Please send books for review and the following information
for each book:

Month and year in which the book was published (should
be not more than three months prior to today’s
date). |

Cover price and ISBN (these may be on the book already,
but please check to ensure we have these). |
Without the above information we cannot consider a book
for review.
