Not A Girl wins Words for the Wounded prize

Not A Girl has won first prize and has been awarded the 2017 Independent Author Book Award by the Words for the Wounded competition. Aiming to inspire aspiring writers, the competition also raises money to help wounded servicemen and women.

Published in August 2015, Not A Girl is a collection of fourteen short stories reflecting aspects of the world that have always inspired or disturbed author Chris. They are an eclectic mix of high adventure, horror and science fiction. The book was hailed as a “winner hands down…very accomplished and sometimes beautiful, and some of the stories are stunning" by the judge of the competition.

Speaking about his win, Christopher said: “I'm proud to have been awarded first place in this wonderful competition. Short stories are a passion for me, and to have my collection recognised like this is very rewarding.”
