Death by Dangerous longlisted for the Crime Writers’ Association Debut Dagger 2016

We’re pleased to announce that Olly Jarvis’ Death by Dangerous has been longlisted for the Crime Writers’ Association Debut Dagger 2016. Sponsored by Orion Publishing the awards are aimed at encouraging new writing. Each book is judged by a panel of top crime editors and agents, and the shortlisted entries are sent to publishers and agents.

Described by Simon Brett, winner of the 2014 Golden Dagger, as ‘a nail-bitingly paced thriller’, Death by Dangerous follows John Anderson, one of the North West’s most dedicated and successful prosecution barristers as he finds himself implicated in the death of a child.

Since its publication late last year, Olly Jarvis’ novel has been featured in a range of publications, including Bradford Telegraph and Argus, Richmond and Twickenham Times, Yorkshire Evening Post, Warrington Guardian, Liverpool Echo as well as Books Monthly who described it as ‘a really good story with a plot that keeps you guessing.’

The shortlisted titles will be announced later this year and we wish Death by Dangerous the best of luck!
