Cricket on Everest launches in London
Cricket on Everest was officially launched at the esteemed Insitute of Directors on Pall Mall last Thursday, 9th August. Many of the 50-strong expedition were present along with plenty of other friends of the expedition who came from as far away as Japan to be present. In total more than 150 were in the Waterloo Room to purchase their signed copies of the book and admire some of the wonderful photos that were also on display.
The night was a huge success with around 200 books being sold in total, and not even Usain Bolt running the Olympic 200m Final was enough to distract the crowd from the event at hand. Running from 6pm through to 10:30, author Alan Curr was delighted with how the evening unfolded and was pleased to welcome a handful of sports journalists, so he hopes to see more positive reviews appearing in the press in the coming days. His next signing session will be at the Home of Cricket, Lord's, on Friday 17th August during the lunch interval of the Test Match between England and South Africa.
