Matador attends Millionaire Author Bootcamp

The Millennium Gloucester Hotel welcomed hundreds of people to Stephanie J. Hale's Millionaire Author Bootcamp. The event took place over 3 days, from 8th-11th June 2012.

Marketing Assistant Sarah Taylor attended on the Friday, which saw a range of speakers advising authors how to expand promotional and branding opportunities.

Stephanie introduced the event by talking about her own personal publishing experiences. She described her first two books, which were published by a mainstream publisher, as 'non events'. "Nothing happened," Stephanie said. "There was no book launch, no reviews... I would have earned more money stacking shelves. Self-publishing Millionaire Women, Millionaire You was a revelation... My life changed dramatically." Stephanie then emphasised the importance of marketing your book and pitching it at the correct audience, with the correct title.

The day continued with talks from public speaker expert Andy Harrington, The Book Midwife's Mindy Gibbins-Klein and joint ventures broker Sohail Khan. Pictures of the event are available on our Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/matadorbooks.
