British Sports Book 'Best Racing Book'

James Lambie's The Story of Your Life was selected as one of the eight best sports books of 2011 at last night's award ceremony at the Savoy. It won the 'Best Racing Book' category, competing against eight other shortlisted titles.

James's book now gets put forward to a public vote with the other seven category winners, and the winning book will be named as the overall British Sports Award Book of the Year early next week.

'We are thrilled for James,' said Matador's MD Jeremy Thompson. 'His carefully researched book has been well received since publication and this is the icing on the cake for him.'

The category winners are now open to a public vote at http://www.britishsportsbookawards.co.uk/vote where anyone is free to vote for their favourite book. The overall winner will be announced on June 13th.
