John Benneyworth

Born mid WW2 John Benneyworth inherited a sense of fun and he considers himself fortunate to have lived through a remarkable period of history. Encouraged to seek knowledge he was introduced to books and children's characters of the era.

Educated at Woking Grammar School, in England, by eager young schoolmasters pleased to be home from the war, he qualified as a chartered accountant opening horizons to a career embracing leisure, films, music, the motor trade, the manufacture of hovercraft and container ships, and the ever changing print industry.

Travel in the UK, Europe and the USA expanded his experiences.

Throughout his career and travel his home has been in Woking, Surrey and Yateley, Hampshire in England.

Married for over 50 years he and his wife have two children and four grandchildren who have been encouraged to explore vocabulary through books and the appreciation of language.

Now in semi-retirement varied experience enables him to write fun books for children exploring their first steps in life and education helped by fictitious characters called 'Iggles'.
