Chevalier Rafael Hugo Maria de Weryha-Wysoczański-Pietrusiewicz

Chevalier Rafael Hugo Maria de Weryha-Wysoczański-Pietrusiewicz was born in Poland in 1975 of diverse European ancestry and is the son and heir of the sculptor John “Jan”, sixth Chevalier de Weryha-Wysoczański-Pietrusiewicz. He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge and the University of Hamburg from which he holds a doctorate in garden history. He is the author of a book on the country house gardens of Humphry Repton and Prince Pückler and has contributed to the Austro-German Gotha – its encyclopaedia and other books. A former Sotheby’s representative and Delegate to the European Commission of the Nobility, he is a committee member of the Bal de l’Eté and a member of the St. Moritz Tobogganing Club.
