Nobeca
by Norma Lloyd-Nesling

In St. Petersburg nineteen year old Pasha murdered a prostitute bought home by Feliks, his abusive father. His father helps him to cover up the killing by throwing the body into a canal leaving his mother to clean up the blood.

One night Pasha found his mother on the floor bloodied and bruised after a beating. Incensed, he grabbed his father and pushed his head into the oven straight into a sizzling stroganoff. The awful sight sent his mother over the edge. After her death Pasha went to Moscow where he was recruited as a KGB agent.

Thirty years later a Russian 'sleeper' in GCHQ coerces Bruce Foley, a British Military Intelligence officer, into going to Switzerland after collaborating with a secret organisation. After being held captive he eventually manages to escape. Fearful for his life he contacted Robert Macaleer, an army friend, to warn him that he had discovered something sinister in the Alps. Concerned for his safely Macaleer goes to look for him.
