Every Shade of Blue
by Linzi Drew-Honey

“I’ve met someone. I’ll be moving out on Sunday.”

When Suzanne Perry-Jackson is ditched by her husband of almost twenty years, her comfortable, uncomplicated world is turned upside down and inside out. Two months after the traumatic break-up, the sophisticated blonde meets Angelo Azzurro, a captivating stranger who takes full advantage of her vulnerability and introduces her to the decadent world of sadomasochistic sex. As much as she enjoys the amazing, liberating encounter, she is adamant that this needs to remain a moment of madness – never to be repeated.

Then a chance meeting with orthopaedic surgeon Sebastian Black rocks Suzanne’s world all over again. It’s love at first sight as she senses a deep physical and mental connection with the breathtakingly beautiful, blue-eyed doctor. After meeting in a professional capacity, Sebastian orchestrates a chance meeting with Suzanne. It is obvious that something extraordinary is unfolding between them. But things aren’t as simple as they seem: control freak Angelo, still angered by Suzanne leaving him, can’t help wanting to teach her a lesson she will never forget...

When Suzanne vanishes, Sebastian is frantic with worry. He has no doubt that her disappearance has everything to do with Angelo. Will he find Suzanne? And will he be able once and for all to move on with the woman he has fallen head over heels in love with?

Sweeping across Surrey, London and Rome, Every Shade of Blue is a tale of love, lust and outrageous, climactic sex that will leave the reader out of breath and begging for more. Linzi’s writing style is Jackie Collins meets Sylvia Day.

5 out of 5 stars

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. I felt for Suzanne from the very beginning and when she found herself with Angelo one would never have imagined what events that would follow. Angelo was definitely someone to watch out for: I wasn't expecting his character to develop the dark scary way it did. However, I wasn't disappointed as it added alot of suspense. I enjoyed the book and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I was recommended this book by one of my girlfriends and it was fantastic. It kicks off into an interesting racy start and also a beautiful story...It is definitely one of those story's which every female can relate to. I have also read '50 shades', but i feel 'Every Shade of Blue' was allot more interesting, detailed and far better written. This has to rank in my top ten favourite books and I was bewitched from the moment I started reading it. Hoping there will be a second book!

I'm not going to lie, I thought this was going to be a struggle like 50 Shades of Grey was but I was pleasantly surprised. The writing in this is pretty great and as an added bonus, there is a story line!

I really liked Suzanne as a character and thought Sebastian was just brilliant. I wasn't a fan of Angelo and found him to be a little too sinister for me but all in all, this was a good book.

If you like erotica, this is definitely for you.

I like Suzanne. She's a little crazy after her sudden divorce... letting strangers on the plane touch her... not knowing he's a psycho. This book kept me on my toes and kept me reading every chance i got. Steamy sex scenes, crazy girlfriends, sizzling attraction between Suzanne and the Dr. What a great thing that neighborhood watch lady... I'm happy she got her happy ending and the hubby got dissed. I'd read again.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this title free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
Every Shade of Blue follows the beautiful and wealthy Suzanne as she attempts to reboot her love life after her husband leaves for the exotic and insatiable Tatiana. As her post-divorce trip to Rome begins, Suzanne meets Angelo and is quickly seduced to his S&M idea of romance. Due to a family emergency, Suzanne is called away from Rome and, after putting some distance between herself and Angelo, decides that though his lifestyle is intriguing and stimulating - it just isn't for her.
While attending to her family emergency, Suzanne meets the handsome surgeon - Sebastian. The attraction between the two is undeniable and inescapable. The love affair between Sebastian and Suzanne is definitely the romance she has been looking for and he is sure that Suzanne is "the one."
Angelo, however, will not be denied and tracks down Suzanne to not only her frequent lunch date spot, but eventually to her home.
Every Shade of Blue is a great addition to the erotica genre - which sometime lacks in believable and filled out story lines. The romance between Suzanne and Sebastian allows for some very yummy encounters that are great at balancing out the kink of Angelo's idea of romance. I absolutely found myself caring about the characters and wanting to know how the story ends. I would assume there will be a sequel to follow and would be glad to add it to my library, as well.
My only issue with the book is the use of brand names as descriptions. At times (especially in the beginning of the book) it made for quite tedious reading reminding me of obvious or even kitschy product placement in a movie. I would have definitely cared about the characters and story line more quickly if not having to wade through descriptions of "Calvin Klein Steels" and Suzanne's "Karen Millen dress." Wealth and opulence can be related in print without the product pandering.

I lapped up every section of this book and imagined the imaginatively put together scenes. Classy and not far fetched. I loved the way the excitement one moment turned to anguish the next. Scary and realistic. Poor girl -unsuspecting, captivated and then terror struck; not really the way she imagined things to go. The characters were larger than life with morally good pitted against despicable. Eastern European and Middle Eastern views and morals against wealthy upper echelon British.
Steamy scenes well written.
Enjoyed it very much.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Full Text: Suzanne is left by her husband for a newer, younger model. She decides to travel and get away from it all. That's where she meets Angelo and decides to act impulsively. After realizing that Angelo is to intense both mentally and sexually she cuts ties with him. She then meets a nice guy who she could see a future with. The only problem is that women don't walk away from Angelo until he is done with them. The story was good, I feel like parts were rushed and other parts were a little drawn out, which is why I gave it 4 stars not 5. It was a good read and I recommend it.
