Notes From The Eye Of The Storm
A Memoir
by Samuel Davisson

Dr Samuel Davisson has used his life experiences as a combat medic, emergency room physician and hospital chaplain to shed light upon the fears, neuroses, superstitions and social problems that surround our daily lives.

This book is not a religious pamphlet that claims to have all the answers to life's questions. Instead, it is an invitation to explore our common humanity.

Notes From The Eye Of The Storm also focuses on Dr Davisson’s surviving a borderline psychotic mother, an initially terminal cancer diagnosis, and several attempts on his life. In addition, two chapters of the book are devoted to dismantling the ideologies behind religious extremism in all faiths.

Throughout the book, the reader will find reasons to laugh. If we are going to examine the roots of our existence, we might as well have a little fun.

The following is an independent review of Notes From The Eye Of Storm printed in the Self Publishing magazine by Troubador

This is an interesting memoir written by a very interesting man. Because of the range of his experience, Samuel Davisson is able to offer insights into life in the forces(Vietnam) and in the seminary. He writes wittily and offers a good read that will delight many readers. There are thoughts and advice on many aspects of life - all based on sound common sense, and with a clear eye on the nature of the world.
There is no doubt that there is something here for many readers. A life as varied as this one has so much to offer us, and the life survival techniques that the author offers us are rooted in a variety of personal experiences. In every case, we can be sure that he knows what he is talking about.
