After graduating with a degree in Accounting and Economics at Cardiff University in 1996, Ben Osborne enjoyed a gap year before combining his love of horseracing with analytical skills to become a private tipster.
Since then he's carved a highly successful career as a horseracing journalist. Among the titles he's regularly contributed to are the Racing Post, Racing and Football Outlook, Racing and Football Outlook Annual, In The Know magazine and South Wales Evening Post.
At 32, he's in constant demand as a writer and also successfully advises a betting syndicate. His debut novel The Hyperion Legacy is a page-turning horseracing thriller that's been very well received.
